Hey,
So i am having a problem with creating surface of my object. I created main frame and drew surface boundaries (in pink). When I try to use networksrf command, it says - Section is not sufficiently smooth.Any ideas? I need to lift this surface of this petal before i use polar array command... ![]()

First, JOIN the two line-arc-line edges into single polylines. You can then use LOFT to yield a surface close to the shape you want by selecting the 3 cross section and ignoring the end arcs.

Hi @Anonymous,
I like @leeminardi's suggestion. I made a quick video to show the steps in action. I hope this works for you.

Wow thank you!!!
That was verry helpful indeed!
I successfully did that and polar arrayed 10 petals around center`s extruded circle
The only problem is I cannot do the same with the center circle (dome)
As You showed in video, two sides must be in polylines... I tired to simulate the same with center dome, by creating two arcs and spline... Lofting still wont work... what am I doing wrong.... All the videos of creating dome on Youtube are not very helpful because they either demonstrate it in old autocad or the video is without comments... x(((

Just revolve a closed shape like the following to create the dome.

Hi @Anonymous,
The dome is very simple using @leeminardi's great suggestion. I show the process of using REVOLVE to create the shape. You could also use a sphere and slice if you want a different way to do this.

Wow Thanks!!! I managed to unite all pieces nice and neat!!! Now Only thing thats bugging me is that dome, i mean I tried to revolve it, I managed to convert spline into 1 polyline... It still wont revolve.. WHy is that? Last time, I somehow managed to do that, but I did not know what I did there in the first place...

Hi @Anonymous,
If you remove the vertical part of that profile I think you will be able to revolve and create the dome.
Here is another video to show that step.

HI @Anonymous,
Let's try this.
Create a sphere with the correct diameter. Then create a rectangle. Move the rectangle's center to the center of the sphere. Now move it up straight up so that it is 7 down from the top of the sphere. Now use the rectangle as a reference for SLICE to cut off the bottom of the sphere. Does this work for you?

I had Idea like that, and I tried that.. Resulting dome doesnt align with base circle eddges - its too small
Maybe I can reshape it somehow?
