I've been drawing the object, then adding the dimension annotation. So I create it as 480", and then it reduces it by 1/8 and annotates the dimension as 60". So maybe you're right, the model might be correct, but if I want the annotation to come out correctly I have to create the object at 8x size just to have it annotate correctly?

 

I think the original creator did it so that everything prints correctly, but it makes it a real pain to add anything. I'm still new to autocad, is there a better way to create the model and still have it print correctly on 11x17? Is there any way to easily rescale this drawing?
