i suggest resetting your profile.

while no active command, type "op". go to "profiles" tab and click "reset" to reset.

i tried the command "STARTUPMODE" but it is unknown. correct me if im wrong but i think what you are trying to imply is the command "STARTUP" where you can change variables from 0 to 3?

STARTUPMODE must work in AutoCAD 2015 ... for that please try the below command and see if it's fixed.

Command: REDEFINE
Enter command name: STARTUPMODE

Hi,

STARTUPMODE is not an AutoCAD 2016 command or sysvar.

STARTUP = 3 and NEWTABMODE = 1 are my settings too, so I don't really understand why it does not show the same on your system.

May be resetting settings to default helps ... as described >>>here<<<.

its not a command in AutoCAD 2015 either :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

Here in 2015, setting STARTUP to 3 and NEWTAB to 1 opens AutoCAD in drawing1.dwg without the NEWTAB screen.  Reset doesn't alter that.

We set STARTUP =1 and use the "Startup or the Create New Drawing" dialog box.
