my opinion: it does not depend on DirectX as you don't have a display issue, you have a defect file. DirectX is not used for saving the file.

 

But as we see now you are using Intel HD3000, please understand that this (like century old) graphic card is not a graphic card that should be used for CAD, it even does not support the latest DirectX or OpenGL versions/shaders. That does not mean that working with that card created defect files ... but you might run out of memory as the graphic card needs system memory, so AutoCAD (or the operating system/or other applications might crash.
