help with differeent versions
I have a user using Autocad 9 and Autocad 10 . He is getting very anger with me . Because I had to make him admin to his desktop . Before it would start working. Also are Autocad 9 files and Autocad 10 files compatable with each other.
Also can you tell me should he be using. He say there certain files he can not use in 10.
When he goes to open files on his P network drive he has do a number of clicks. Is there a way to set a default drive.
I know i am not giving you a lot information. But hopefully you can still help me.
I was looking for a number to call but could not figure out if there is free support?

Hi,
>> a user using Autocad 9 and Autocad 10
Do you mean Release 9 or 2009 (release 10 or 2010) ... makes a big difference!
>> He is getting very anger with me . Because I had to make him admin to his desktop
Is that an AutoCAD based question?
If he don't want to have admin permissions then don't give the user admin permissions (better create a new account with default permissions, otherwise some existing file permissions will be flagged as "admin permissions" and the normal user can't access them now)
>> He say there certain files he can not use in 10
What means exactly "can not be used"? He can't open the files, or he can open the files, not can't modify geometry or he get's error messages or ... ?
>> When he goes to open files on his P network drive he has do a number of clicks.

You can try to play with the setting REMEMBERFOLDERS (>>>details<<<) and maybe a start-script, but also that depends on the version of AutoCAD that is used.
