Thanks for the reply and for the information.
I agree with you completely that it's not sensible to be using software that is not supported on a certain platform. Believe me, if it was down to me then we wouldn't be using such an old version of Autocad on Windows 10. Unfortunately the voice of internal IT staff (like me) gets overruled by staff in higher places, who don't really know about IT but insist we have to keep using Autocad 2011. It's frustrating but as an IT Support technician, I'm used to it.
The issue I'm left with now is that the error is only affecting one user and there are at least another 5 users all using Autocad 2011 on Windows 10, so this user will not agree with me saying that Autocad 2011 doesn't work with Windows 10 as she sits next to 2 people who are currently using it! I'll find some way to explain it to her.
