Autocad 2011 error when launching - please help

Hi all,

I'm stumped on an issue with Autocad 2011 that I've not been able to solve, despite extensive Googling.

I know it's a very old version but the user needs it as it interfaces with some in-house software.

On launching Autocad an error box pops up saying:

"Unable to run AutoCAD. This may be due to one of the following reasons:

1) This version of AutoCAD was not installed properly. In this case you may wish to reinstall AutoCAD.

2)You do not have sufficient rights to run AutoCAD"

It's Windows 10 64-bit and I'm using the 64-bit version of Autocad.

The user is a local administrator on the machine and I have also tried running the application as an administrator, but that makes no difference.

I've uninstalled and re-installed. I've removed all versions of .Net and then tried a re-install. I've also then re-installed .Net and tried again. None of this has worked.

Has anyone got any other suggestions which I could try?

Many thanks!
