Hi,
you don't need _FROM in that case, as you only define a distance and a direction to move an object ... in that case you can use any base point, then show a direction with the cursor and enter the distance, in your case 0.01.
>> Unfortunately it does move the object to the base point without offset...
Have you moved your cursor far away from the object? If not it might again find an object snap to your polyline (and so start point and destination point for the move vector stays the same).
