Problems insert a template

Hello,

After reviewing many youtube videos on the web and still learning on how to insert title blocks I am still having a problem with some of my drawings that won’t insert into model space.
Background:
B.dwg is the title block with some attributes scaled 1:1
Model space drawing at a scale of 1:1
Existing electrical plan_9 – copy.dwg
Proposed electrical plan_10 – copy.dwg
Here are the steps that I got the title block to insert into other space drawing
One way is to
1. Right click on any of the layout tab at the bottom of the screen
2. I next choose from template browse to where the b.dwg file is stored and place it on the screen.

Another way is
1. On the command line type ps
2. On the command line type i
3. Browse to where the folder is
The problem I am having is sometimes I don’t see the b.dwg or it is too small or to large.
Can one of your expert show me a screen cast what’s going wrong an how to fix this.
Thanks

I would change this up a little.

To use the New Layout from Template, you will need to insert your titleblock on to a layout. Then save it as a template.  So here is what I did with your file.

  1. Opened B.dwg
  2. Converted the title block to a block named TitleBlock
  3. I created a B size layout using Page Setup Manager
  4. I inserted the title block on the new B- size layout
  5. Save as a template file.

Now you can use the from template option to create your layout.

I will attach the screencast after upload and publish completes.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your time in creating the screen cast for me. Can you explain to me why when I try to insert my title block to a drawing in model space with my method the title block is sometimes are to small or to large does or does not show at all. It worked for other files.
