Layer Properties tab flashes, won't open

Yes, I've done a search, tried the listed solutions, no they don't work.

I run Autocad 2016, viewed on two screens. I can use the layer pull-down, but the Layer Properties tab does a bizarre thing: I click once, the screen flashes, (always a different type of flash---sometimes white, sometimes blue).  This doesn't happen with any other Autocad tool, or any other program.

where did it go? help.

Hi,

3 things to try (for now):

  • move your AutoCAD to the other monitor and try again to start the layermanager.
  • make sure that no other software is started (besides of Windows services
  • login with another Windows user account and let's know if the same happens there

If that does not help please let us know which graphic card and operating system you are using (for graphic card ==> which driver).

Also make sure you don't have a desktop manager as separate tool running (so you might switch between different screens/desktops).

>> sometimes white, sometimes blue

Does that mean that both displays are painted in the same color? All existing windows as well as desktop background are not visible any more?

I have the same problem in 2018.  Every other tab on the ribbon will pin or show up, just not the properties tab.

Found it.  It was docked but minimized to where it was just a line.
