CAD to CNC
Hello AutoCAD friends!
I am writing about a obstacle I know can be overcome simply from people like You! Currently at work I am using TurboCAD Professional 2015. I am using the 2D layouts to be sent out to SCMI CNC. It only runs XYZ axis, nothing more nothing less. The CNC only reads DXF formatting. The problem I am trying to solve is getting a semi-sphere (half a basketball shape) cut. I understand that the product can only be cut to only a semi-sphere on the X + Y axis. Is there a way I can make relief cut to make detailed 3D products? For an example 2.5 dimension products such as Michael Jordan slam dunking, your face cut into a wood block, ect. That is what I need to figure out.
Thank You AutoCAD Community,
Stephen C
