AutoCAD 2017 stalls at "loading" on spashscreen

The software is stalling or lagging on the the splashscreen. It seems to start stalling at the same point everytime. It stalls at "loading" right after "opening drawing... *.dwg" and "loading... vl.crx". It stalls here and will not start the program. I tried deleting the ADSKFLEX_NUMBERS_TSF.data file as suggested for a very similar issue, but it didn't help. I have been using it just fine offline. The problem started right after I tried to used it while connected to a network.

Try reseting your application profile as well as clearing your user authentication & temp directory...

  1. On your computer, navigate to:
    • C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\<product key>_<<product version>>\
  2. Delete the LGS.data file.
  3. Navigate to
    • C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\
  4. Delete the ADUT folder and it's contents
  5. Start the application.

So AutoCAD opens normally when not connected to the internet?

You may want to check the firewall and anti-virus. Try to disable them and see if it will run normally.

Try to disable them to narrow down the problem.

After the issue started, I haven't been able to use it online or offline.
