when I use viewcube to rotate model space, it animates the transition, which on larger scenes tends to drop FPS.
is there a way to disable viewcube animation, and just make it instantly translate to new view

NAVVCUBE (CUB) > Settings > Turn off the (Use view transitions when switching views)
Or
Turn VTENABLE (System variable to 0)
Or you can go to options > 3d modelling > turn off view transition when switching views as Mr Pawel Swieciak mentioned.
Thanks & Best Regards
Vinay

thank you both... it works.
however, its a bit choppy (not giving optimum performance) since it switches from 2d view... to 3d, then rotates, and switches back to 2d... but I guess its deeply embeded procedure in ACAD code.
ty both

thanks, good idea. But I moslty use just the "rotate canvas" on viewcube... since I often have to rotate my canvas 90 left/right. and that takes a while, and those dont exist in the left top menu ![]()
