A setting has changed on my system and I'm not sure what it is. Previously when I selected an object I was able to see it highlighted in blue even if there were other objects in front of it. Now when I have an object selected it is obscured by anything in front of it and I cannot see the whole object in blue. What setting do I have to change to enable me to see the entire object?
Thanks in advance

Thanks fo the reply pendean but that's not quite what I'm looking for. I have attached two screenshots to explain better. On the image named "from above" I have previously been able to see through the desktop to view the whole gable. Now the gable is obscured by the desktop.

HI,
Try to change your visual style from VSCURRENT command line to Wireframe style.
Command: VSCURRENT
Enter an option [2dwireframe/Wireframe/Hidden/Realistic/Conceptual/Shaded/shaded with Edges/shades of Gray/SKetchy/X-ray/Other] <Wireframe>:
this style will able you to get what you want.
Good Luck..

I finally found it myself. I had selected "Culling".
"CULLINGOBJ
Controls whether 3D subobjects that are hidden from view can be highlighted or selected."
Thanks for your efforts.
