Background Mask

I am using Acad2013. My background mask is not working on my properties dialog box. I get the 3 periods at the end but  when clicking on it, nothing happens. Is there a variably that needs to change? It is an Mtext and works when I text edit.

Hello

Very strange, the Mask option must run from the "MTEXT" properties dialog box !

Just a quick idea: have you installed the SP2 on your 2013 ?

Sounds like the "Background Mask" dialog is "off your screen" (Do you have to press ESC to keep going after you press the "..." button?)

Follow this tutorial to get it back.

I think I am now explaining my problem.

I have the Properties palette displayed on my screen. When I list the properties of the selected object (text that is an Mtext) under the TEXT tab on the Properties palette the background mask is displayed as No or Yes (default is No). When clicking on the background mask 3 periods at the end of the row appears. Nothing happens when clicking on the 3 periods. At that point I should have an option to mask the text that was selected just as I would have if using the Mtext command. Yes I can change my option with the Mtext command.

Just found out that it works on Acad2012 and not on Acad2013. Why is that?

Thats very strange. Have you installed any service packs available for 2013?
