I am inserting my signature to the drawings using .TIF image. When I turn the transparency on - the background shoes up (FIG-2). THis signature was made by one HP Scanner several years ago. However, I got a new scanner and when I create .tif image and inserted on the drawing - it blocks the background FIG -1(See attached PDF drawing). I inserted the new tif on Word and it worked fine. I am not sure what is happening with my new machine or I am doing something not correct.
I had a scanner from Zerox and I had that for a year or so. When I created .Tif image with that machine - I got the Fig-2 condition. Previously I used use old HP Scanner and that gone bad.. So I gone out today a got a HP Scanner but with the same result. If this is the norm - then I will return the HP Scanner.
When my drawings goes out for Bid - I sign those drawings with date. I create a signature with date for each project and insert them on the drawings.
Can anybody enlighten me about this problem and what corrective action I may take? I have tried Jpeg and bmp without luck.
My scanner settings are B & W, document, .tif or gpeg or bmp
