Reinstall on new hard drive after drive failure

Hello.  I have a basic question.  I'm running a fully licensed version of AutoCAD Land Desktop 2008 and my hard drive has failed.  I am needing to reinstall my software on the new drive, and possibly a new computer.   Does Autodesk allow this reinstall?  I also have a licensed version of AutoCAD LT 2016.  Will they tell me my Land Desktop 2008 is no longer valid??  Thank you ..

No problem that I can see reinstalling 2008 LDT on a new PC if you didn't upgrade to a newer than 2008.

Should not be a problem: just realize your 2008 software is not supported in Win10 http://autode.sk/1IY4C2X and your new PC ought to have a disk drive since your 2008 is not available as a download from Autodesk anymore either.

Today I had to replace my dead HDD. After restoring a system image to a new SSD, AutoCAD Land Desktop 2009 asked for a license.  An activation attempt failed.  I know older versions such as mine have lost support.  I am hoping (and praying!) that since I had to replace my HHD I can reactivate my previously valid license.

Autodesk killed off reauthorizing of 2010 and older software as of August 31 2019 https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/simplecontent/content/previous-ver...

Sorry, you missed the deadline. There is nothing you can do about it today. Sorry. there are no exceptions or backdoor methods anymore.

Thanks for responding. Wish I had back the thousands of dollars I spent and
the hundreds of hours I invested in learning AutoCAD. I'm retired now and
cannot afford the new rates.

There are less expensive alternatives.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
