The drawing I am working on at the moment is in lt 2007 which is why I entered the question in the Autocad 2007/2008/2009 "section".

 

So are you saying that later versions will not allow you to simply click within the centre of a rectangle you wish to hatch?

 

The point I was making was not part of a "**** measuring" look at my experience exercise :-). More to point out that what I am doing is no different to what I have done for the past 20 years from lt 95, 98 and several others till 2007 and this one particular drawing is showing a weird dislike for something I have done many times before.

 

Parts of the drawing have been imported from an Architects plan so may be an influence.

 

I am hearing that 2007 has a few quirks and instabilities and it regularly crashes when I open another drawing to reference whilst working on my main drawing. Perhaps just time to subscribe to the latest version?
