AutoCAD 2012 Failed Installation aborted Result=1603
I am reinstalling AutoCAD 2012 onto my laptop. It was already installed but starting acting up a bit. So, I uninstalled AutoCAD and am now trying to reinstall it. I keep getting this error 1:52:adlmPITSetProductInformation failed 3:25. What in the heck does that mean???

Pendean. Yep. That's the one. But, I neglected to say that I am running Windows 10 so what was suggested won't work for me.

Pendean. I found the file and deleted it. I am reinstalling AutoCAD even as I write this. We'll see if it works. Thanks. If it works, you get a kudos for a job well done. Thanks.

Result=1603 means a standard abort.
1:52:adlmPITSetProductInformation failed 3:25
Means a .PIT file information is not set or understood properly.
The procedure to fix this under Windows 10 is way too time consuming, the quickest way would be to Factory Reset your Windows 10, then re-install AutoCAD 2012. Becareful not to backup the .PIT file or you'll loop the error. It's funny though, I recommend having at least AutoCAD 2013 / 2014 / 2015 / 2016 for Windows 10, you're a year behind in the AutoCAD version.
