License Manager Error - VD is starting, please check vendor daemon´s status in .

Hi Everbory,

Recentely I replace the server that was running  my License Manager of AutoCad 2012 (LM TOOLS by Flexera) of Operation System of Windows Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2012 R2 and I virtualized my License Manager of AutoCad 2012 server (NEW Hardware - ESXi 6).

After install the new server I tried configure the License Manager Tool following the AutoDesk oficial procedures. During the installation there no issues, but when I try Start Server inside LM TOOLS interface, show for me the information bellow.

VD is stating, please check vendor daemon´s status in debug log.

I already modified the license file parameters (ACD2012ptlicense.lic) with new HostName and MAC address of network interface, but still with error.

If someone there are the same expirence and can help I will apreciate.

You CANNOT modify the MAC address inside your .LIC file.  Since you changed servers, you need to obtain a new license file from Autodesk or from https://register.autodesk.com

Good Luck!

In my case, I called to my license resseler and request a new .lic File. My resseler in Brazil call MapData.com.br.

After received the new .Lic from MapData (license resseler), I imported to LMtools, but still not working.

How I migrated the Operation System version to Windows Server 2012 R2, the resseler suggest me to install the License Manager version for IPv6

(Note: My current IP protocol is IPv4), after installed the license manager version for IPv6 the LMtools with new .Lic file work properly.
