Corrupt 3D solids - HELP!
Hi,
New to the forum so hi!
I've got a recurring problem with 3D solids turning into very basic shapes or parts disappearing altogether?
The latest example is a ball valve I've drawn and then copied into an existing drawing. It looked fine yesterday. Opened it up today and it's corrupted.
This is the original model which is in a separate DWG file and is still intact:
And this is what they look like in the overall drawing after pasting them in, saving, closing, and repoening a day later:
The one on the right is a non-unioned version, the one on the left is after I'd unioned the ball valve model and again, saved, closed, and reopened.
I've had this happen with a few different 3D models. The drawing I pasted it into already had some other 3D valve models which had also corrupted in the same way previously, but they aren't from the same model. I've regenerated, purged, audited, everything but no luck.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Ross

Can you attach the corrupted file here?
Do you have solidhist turned on or off (1 or 0)?

Hi,
Yes, here it is. I've had to strip a bit of the commercially sensitive stuff out but have left all the seemingly corrupt 3D solids in. SOLIDHIST is set to 1 but not sure if it was originally as I have tried toggling it on/off a few times since when trying to fix the issue. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how SOLIDHIST works.
