@JOHNLLOYD7213 - I'm not sure if it helps you in any way, but I am running AutoCAD 2017 with the full Ribbon interface. When I plot to the Adobe PDF device, and the resulting PDF opens in Acrobat DC (latest version), the x for both the document as well as the application each appear as expected.

 

Like Autodesk's own business model transition, I do not believe Adobe offers a perpetual license of Acrobat DC, and must be purchased as part of a subscription.

 

On a personal note. While I still have plenty of clients who use Acrobat for PDF's, a larger percentage of my customers have migrated to Bluebeam in recent years.
