Please ask your professor why he is teaching a user-interface, which is not used currently by default (except very few people coming from old releases).

With AutoCAD 2009 the new interface (ribbons) was introduced, at that time a bit buggy, yes, but this change is now 8 years, 8 releases old. Why teaching something that is 8 years old.

I know from my own experience, there are professors (mostly with higher age) who are not staying up-to-date, but they should know: they are more blocking students than preparing them for the future and their jobs.

These professors have to do the same as students, learning! Learning what are the current and the future options, not "how did we work centuries ago" :cara_guiñando_un_ojo:
