AutoCAD no longer have the Classic workspace out of the box. Typically, you will see users who migrate their settings from a previous version to 2017 who still have the Classic workspace. <-- I do not recommend migrating settings from previous versions.

 

To get the classic look and feel, perform the following:

  1. Turn on the menu bar by typing MENUBAR and set the value to 1
  2. From the Tools dropdown, choose Toolbars > AutoCAD, then select the toolbars you want...
  3. Disable the Ribbon, by typing RIBBONCLOSE.
  4. Once everything is displayed and organized the way you want, go to the Workspace flyout and choose Save Current As... Then give is a name...
