Custom keyboard shortcuts

Hi!

Is it possible to assign only one key to a specific command? If there is a solution please post it.

In my case I was trying to assign the key "D" for "MOVE" command, but it won't let me type it.

Thanks!

Use the below option to update your ACAD.PGP file with the command/alias that you want.

Add the below:

D,        *MOVE

Hi,

you can do this from ALIASEDIT command.also and to remind you that D is for DIMSTYLE command so be careful from duplication.

Hello seucanlaurentiu,

If you're looking for command overwriting, i suggest the command aliases that you can find in acad.pgp file.

To find it, follow the instructions in this link:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/AutoCAD-Customization...

Once you open the file, go to the bottom, and there is a place, where you can set "User Defined Command Aliases", that will overwrite any default  commands that are assigned to letter "D". You can edit the default command shorctuts as well, but those changes won't be migrated if you upgrade Your AutoCAD version.

Kind Regards,
Pawel
