Hi All!
I am an interior designer who has worked a lot in AutoCAD, and use it as my go-to drafting software.
I have just moved overseas and after looking for work, have had a few freelancing opportunities come up. Some of these companies ask that I use my own computer/programs, whilst I do work at their office. I'm fine with this, though my personal computer is a Mac and although I have used AutoCAD on mac to do basic things, I feel like I would be much more efficient using it on a windows interface like I'm used to.
My question is: If I get a basic windows computer/laptop purely to run CAD though, what would your spec recommendations be? Keep in mind this would be a second computer just for AutoCAD so as cheap as possible would be great, but I don't want it to crash all the time. Also, please note that I am not native in computer tech talk- I just understand the basics.
It would only be for 2D drafting (no 3d work).
Suggestions most appreciated!
