Hello,
Our company just deployed new Alienware MX17s (R4) to a couple of designers and we are having display issues. The Command Line text is huge, the windows icons are extremely small and when you open a drawing and browse to look for it, the drive options are very skewed and small. I have the latest NVIDIA graphics driver and there's graphics lags when you are navigating the screen as well - makes it difficult to work. Is there a fix for this as of yet? I've been on several forums to see and I can't seem to find a resolution. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you!

4K monitor? If so, the real fix for ACAD and 4K monitors is AutoCAD 2017.1.

Hi @Anonymous,
I think Jason nailed the solution on this one for sure. If you are on subscription then go ahead and grab Update 1.1. It should fix most of the resolution issues.

Hi,
>> grab Update 1.1
First an update from 2016 to 2017 is necessary, then you can install the 2017-Update 1.1
Release 2016 does not work with DPI-scaling or Windows font scaling <> 100%

If you use (or wish to upgrade to) AutoCAD2017, go grab the 2017.1.1 update (notice the "point one point one" in the name) from your active subscription-only updates page https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Read all about it here: http://blogs.autodesk.com/autocad/autocad-2017-fall-update/
Note: It doesn't solve all the problems, just many of them. A better fix will probably show up in AutoCAD/LT2018 next year of AutoAd/LT2019 the year after that.
But... AutoCAD 2016 and lower versions were not designed for high-res monitors AND AUTODESK HAS NO PLANS TO EVER CHANGE THAT REALITY. These older versions will only run on displays set to 1920x1080 (also try 2560x1440 and up to 2560x1600 if you have that option) and at 100% text scaling (no more than 125% text scaling).

Thanks all! Just the adjustment in the resolution settings helped right away. We are on maintenance, so I'll work to upgrade to 2017 with the 1.1 update.
Thanks again!
