Geolocation in AutoCAD 2017

When i go to the Geolocation tab and do edit location the map box comes up but i cannot enter any location.  This was the same thing that was happening in AutoCAD 2015 with the geolocation.  Is there a hot fix that I am not finding for it?  It says i am signed into my 360 account.

Hi @jamied2000,

When I type GEO in my AutoCAD 2017, I see this dialog popup with an Address field at the top. Is this not what you are seeing?

Have you applied service pack and updates? To very your version, type ABOUT at the command line.

The dialog box shows up but doesn't let me type in a address and the map does not show up.  I am running AutoCAD 2017.1.1 update.

Hi @jamied2000,

If the map is not displaying, it could be for a variety of reasons.

Firewall or Proxy settings

Corrupt Installation of Autodesk 360

Hardware acceleration

Here is an article that should address this possibilities. I would start by logging out of A360, logging in as a different user, and then relogging in as yourself.

Did you work through all the solutions posted here at this link https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Troubl...

There are no shortcuts, you have to go through it all. If you don't understand these settings, talk to someone at your end that is more comfortable with computers or hire someone to come to your place to do it all for you.

There is not going to be a magic easy fix from inside AutoCAD.
