IMAGEATT jpeg issue

Hi there,

I am attempting to use logo on my template.  I am using the command : IMAGEATTACH, and the image is a jpeg, tiny 60KB or so (res not really good enough but thats beside the point for now).

I have included the error message I get when I double click on the are where my logo should be.  ( The screen shot is taken from within BEDIT ).  I have also included a pic of what is there rather than my logo.

Does anyone know about this? I have tried to confirm what image formats are AutoCAD 2016, 2017 friendly but addmitedly have not found out for sure.  Is jpeg really not supported??

I did make the mistake of originally putting the logo is a dedicated image folder, but have since put the logo in the same one folder as the template.  Now, its like the new path is not updating??  I noticed the error message is still showing the old file path location.  How do I get AutoCAD to update this? I have tried over and over going through the : bedit, imageattach, chosing jpeg from within same one folder, bedit, save.

Maybe this is the real problem to do with the file path??

In case it helps, here is a run down of what is happening..

When I open/close/open my tempalet, the logo is there. So the original template is working fine - every time.

The problem occurs with any other drawiungs that are not the original template. Eg, I open my template, save as eg. 'Test 1.dwg", check and the logo is there.  So I close the Test1.dwg, but when I reopen it, the jpeg is gone.  With the attacehd error messages.

Any light on this would be greatly appreciated please?

Thanks in advance!
