Automatically update a schedule/table made with "EATTEXT" command

I am using the "EATTEXT" command to create a schedule/table to count a set of blocks including its attributes, in this case its flip state and contents. Is there a way in which AutoCAD can automatically update this table if I was to add more blocks to the model in the future if it needs revising or do I have to update it manually? If so, how do I go about updating it?

Hi @jason.bowman,

To update your table you can select it, rt-click and select UPDATE.

Or you can set it to update automatically using DXEVAL which will update it when certain commands are run.

Thanks John, this is exactly what I was looking for!

Is it possible to set the DXEVAL value to something so when a additional block gets added, it updates as soon as it has been placed?

Hi @jason.bowman,

With this variable you are limited to the options shown in the link. To get it to update all the time you would need to create a LISP routine with a  reactor but that might cause some performance issues as blocks get inserted or removed.

You might check the Customization forum or the Autodesk App Store to see if there are some tools that will help.

What does it mean?

If I want Publish and eTransmit should it be 128+256?
