Dispalying black as black on dark background

Hello,

I'm sorry if this question already has an answer on this forum, I'm new here.

In autocad 2013 (and probably every other version) there is a point in choosing background color where objects in white/black turns the other way around. That means that if you have light gray background (200,200,200), black objects display as black. And if you start to darken the background by the time you reach background color of 128,128,128, black objects will automaticaly turn white.

Q:

Is there a way to override this effect?

I would really like to see black objects as black on background 100,100,100.

Thank You!

Danijel

p.s. I don't want to change objects color in something like 250, because that wouldn't be nice to other users with black backgrounds.

Thank you for the quick answer, but that's not what I meant. In your example you are simply showing me how to change background color. My question is mostly on objects color. Thanks anyway.

There is no way to change the behaviour for objects with color 7.

Background color 128 sounds right because there are 256 colors in total. Thats the middle between complete white and complete black.

As you state the only way to do so is change the objects color to 250 but that stresses out co-workers.

The other possibility is not to change the background colour to darker then 128.

A: no, there is no override.

You will need to assign your objects (or their layer if they are set to BYLAYER) a color that is black instead, I prefer Truecolor (RGB) 1,1,1 myself.

Ok, if that's so I accept that 'no override state' and this 1,1,1 color solution looks really neat.

Thanks!
