How do I change the units so when I type a line length it will be in millimeters

Dear Mr.Acs

 

In command window,  type "UNITS" and choose the insertion scale you want from the drop down dialogue box.

Hi,

 

select your needs from DDUNITS command dialog then start your drawing with millimeter inputs.

To adjust your units, try using -dwgunits and units. Here is an AKN Article that describes how units work in AutoCAD.
