in AutoCAD LT 2016, while importing an image via the Insert or Insert Raster Image the image appears in the drawing but when the drawing is saved and reloaded the image is replaced by an icon with the name of the file. What causes the images to disappear or not being loaded?

Hi @Anonymous,
Welcome to the Autodesk Community!
I am checking to see if the excellent advise in @Patchy's post has helped you to fix your image display issue.Or, is this something other than an OLE problem?
Please update the thread with your status.

Hi, yes I have solved the problem for now but there is still the story of the modified blocks does not keep the changes. I change the blocks and backup, after I reinsert and I do not see modifcations.

If you are inserting a block from the file system, and a block by that name already exists in the drawing, the definition that is in the drawing will be the definition that is used.
If you are editing a block in the drawing, using BEDIT, then the definition is being changed, and all instances of the block will yodate to match the new (updated) definition.
Which of those separate ] scenarios are you talking about?

yes I know but it no longer retains the changes made to the block for nearly 2 weeks.
I have not changed the way I work, but all of a sudden I have a problem with solid blocks, inserting images etc.
presently it is the blocks that do not want to keep the changes. i use bedit. the bug it's new.

Hi @Anonymous,
If your blocks contain attributes it is possible that you will need to use BATMAN to get the blocks to update.
Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.
