Jagged 3D solids

My 3D solids look very bad in my model. As you can see in the attached file, all the round solids are jagged.

What can I do to solve this problem? Things like viewres and facetres I already changed, but without success.

Hi,

>> Things like viewres and facetres I already changed

Have you also tried command _REGEN after zooming close to details?

Is your hardware acceleration turned on of off (try both) (command _GRAPHICSCONFIG)

Can you upload the drawing?

How were these solids created? using command _CIRCLE and _EXTRUDE or _PRESSPULL or did you use _CYLINDER or have you got the geometry from anywhere else?

I attached the drawing;) The solids you see I made with the sweep function.

First select the circle (diameter of the tube) and then select the spline (route).

I have the same problem. Has to do with proportions of objects, cylinder or pipes...

In the same drawing, i have, for example 2 pipes 400 mm diameter extruded regions (rings) to 3D solids.
One of pipes is 1000 mm length and looks fine, the other pipe is 10000 mm length and looks awful...!

Crazy! eh! can't find why... :cara_de_decepción:

Hi,

>> I have the same problem

Try to set FACETRES to 10, if this does not help then please show the dwg-file with just one or 2 of these entities and let us know which version of AutoCAD you are working with.

I sent you image and drawing...

The entities are almost the same, only extruded height varies.

As you see it from top view, you see it also in paper space and

this is how is plotted.

Thank you!

Hi,

thank you for uploading the file and screenshot!

My surprise here is that the cylinder get's more segemented the higher the value for extrusion is.

For now I'm sorry, not any idea how to get this solved ...
