Hi everybody
Could you tell if scale 1:1700.000 is the same with value 1:170 meter

Hi @Anonymous,
The default metric unit in Autocad is the mm.
So I presume:
- When you say 1:1700000 you mean 1 AutoCAD unit (mm) to 1700000 Autocad units (mm)
- And when you say 1:170 m you mean 1 Autocad unit (mm) to 170 m
In that case the scale is wrong.. 1(mm) : 1700000(mm) = 1(mm):1700(m)
By the way it's always better to draw in real size in Autocad and scale in layout or in printing..

Which value could I choose on layout if I have work on scale 1:1 in model
for scale 1:1700.000

Hi @Anonymous!
If you're working 1:1 then a 1 meter line should measure 1000 drawing units (mm) in model..
So in Layout:
1- Select the Viewport,
2- Press Ctl+1 to open the properties palette
3- Go to the Custom Scale Property, and write 1/1700000 then enter
Now plot the lay out 1:1... (The last scale is how do you want to scale the printing paper altogether not just the drawing)
