Autocad 2017 worked great yesturday, but this morning windows 10 did an automatic update, now AutoCAD 2017 is unusable crashing all the time?

I uninstalled the update but it just re-installed again when re-booting the system

I would try a system restore next.

... and probably a reinstall of R2017 may be in order too.

Find tips online on how to delay Windows 10 Updates as long as possible to avoid these Microsoft bombs from hitting your PC first in the future.

I have run into this several times with AutoCAD/Windows 8.1 and 10.  Usually, prior to an Update a Restore Point is created, and going back "fixed it all".  What is really odd, for a test, I would then reinstall the Update and all would be fine.  Even though AutoCAD 2017 and Windows 10 are "compatible", I have found that problems still arise.  One trick, uninstall the .NET Framework, then install version 3.5 and update it to current version.  This process has proven effective on my laptop as well as many others in our office and for clients.

thanks re installing the .net framework seems to have done the trick.
