We have it same. Data on fast network. But still! You need like 240 Gb for system. Now it's cheep. It worse it!

Lunch time of autocad decrease to few seconds (depends of type of license check). All temp data, autosaves, all is stored on your HDD and saving is causing lags. 

If you buy SSD, you will not need more RAM. (still thinking that 8 Gb with no 3D is good enough.)
