I am trying to convert a 3D object I drew in AutoCAD 2016 from dwg to stl. I tried exporting but when I select the object and hit enter it removes the object from selection. Any ideas on what I need to do. I have attached the drawing.

PEDIT, Join the lines, REVOLVE and use the line as pivot for 360 degrees; after that STLOUT.

Hi minsonc,
I agree with @Patchy. In order to get this to STLOUT you will need to crate this as a solid. I tried to convert your surfaces but had no success as it does not appear "watertight". I took your cylinder shape and created a circle and then offset it .5 to get the outer circle. I then used press-pull to pull it to the correct length. This object is a solid and allowed me to STLOUT.
I hope this helps.
