Intersect on 3d corner in AutoCAD Model

I am trying to create a corner for molding on a rendering. I created a molding profile and joined the polylines. I then extruded the shape and copied it. I rotated the copy 90 degrees and aligned the two shapes. I have tried to intersect the two solids to create a 3D mitered corner. but the intersect command  does not intersect. The subtract and union command will not work on these shapes/solid either.

@Anonymous, john.vellek has edited your subject line for clarity:Interset command dose not work

INTERSECT is not something like Fillet for Solids -- read about what it does in Help.  You probably want to SLICE them at the miter angle.

I will try slice. That is a good idea.

How about the Path option in the Extrude command?  Just make it all in one command.

Hi @Anonymous,

If the excellent suggestions here haven't helped you thus far, please attach your drawing so I can take a look for you.

Are you sure you have 3D solid bodies?

Yes. The odd thing is that if the two objects are not aligned correctly the intersect will work, i.e. If the corners of the two objects are aligned at the same point I cannot intersect, but if one object sits below that point I get an intersected, all be it odd, object.

Thank you. I still cannot get a proper intersect but one user suggested I use the slice command and that worked great.
