Possible causes include incorrectly registered DLL files, incompatible DLLs, or another program may be preventing AutoCAD from running.
Possible conflicting software includes:
- Incorrectly switched reg key
- Program called "Search Protect" or "SW booster"
- NVIDIA drivers
- Beyond Trust "Trusted Desktop" btpload64.dll
- Smartbar malware
- Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended acapture64.dll and acapture32.dll
- Corrupted C++ installation
- Antivirus or Protection Packages

I have the same issue on windows 10. I have done the upgradation to the latest version with the help of Office support and now it is working fine. I am able to solve my error code 0xc0000142
