Well, because I'm using some new plugins (Undet for manipulating point-cloud data) I occasionally get crashes in various situations. I really have neither the time nor the inclination to fully explore any more intermittent crashes. I'll just live with a less-than-perfect software and suffer the occasional crash - which is liveable using regular autosaves.
I do know that there are some bugs in AutoCAD that are apparently accepted by the plugin programmers - they have created workarounds to avoid the issues (e.g inbuilt coordinate manipulation to stop screen spazz-outs when working in GPS coordinates and on elevation UCSs). That does seem a bit plastering over the cracks, but I'm not going to waste any more time doing Autodesks beta-testing for them.
Yes, I'm cross. And, yes, I'm probably cutting off my nose to spite my face...
