Find and Replace text in Default Value of Attribute Definitions

Hello,

I am running into a problem with editing the default values of my attributes for literally thousands of block definitions in a drawing. The blocks have not been defined yet, as I am trying to streamline my block creation process. In AutoCAD 2015 I was able to use the FIND command to find and replace a part of the Default Values of any block definition of hundreds of Attribute definitions at a time using wild cards.

for example: Default values would end in "P3". I could FIND "P3" and Replace it for all selected attribute definitions with "Q1"

This is not currently working in AutoCAD 2016... I would prefer not to work in older versions. but has anyone else ever done this, and noticed the same thing? Any Suggestions?

Thank you.

EDIT:  Found my problem. All my attributes are set to invisible, and AutoCAD has the Ignore Hidden Items option chosen by default... DUH!
