What pendean said is right.

Alternatively, you can simply enter "export" without the quotation marks in command line.

This is one of the great advantages for using AutoCAD. Simple and straightforward.

BTW I use Mech version all time but rarely convert drawings for non-Mech users.

Did you try "save as" then in the long list of "File of type" choose "AutoCAD 2014 drawing (*.dwg)"?
