That looks possible.  But about the apparently rounded corners of the 45°-angled squares in the centers of the hexagons, Hatch patterns can only have straight lines, so any "curve" must be made of multiple short line segments.  Would it be acceptable to not round those corners, like this?

That would be the easiest to define.  They can easily enough be simply chamfered if that will do at the scale of use of the pattern:

or they could be "rounded" with, for example, three line segments to turn the corner:

How much does the rounding of the corners matter, if at all?
