ACAD2025 crashed when double clicking mtext or text

Hi. Just recently autocad has started crashing when double clicking on Mtext or text. Attached are the crash logs. The *.pb files are not supported by this forum so i have zipped the up.

Once i restart autocad the double click on text is fine. It's frustrating as it catches me everytime.

AutoCAD whon't shut down and i have to use Task Manager to end the process before i can restart it.

I assume you've installed 2025.1.1 update?

Have you tried Resetting AutoCAD?

Hello,

issue you're facing is not uncommon and can stem from various causes such as corrupted settings, misconfigured software, or conflicts with system resources.

1. Create a new profile in AutoCAD (Options > Profiles)

2. Too many fonts are installed in system

3. Repair the drawing file (see How to repair corrupt AutoCAD files).

4. Type GRAPHICSCONFIG in the Command Line.

  • Turn off Hardware Acceleration and test again.
  • Update your graphics card drivers and ensure compatibility with AutoCAD 2025.

5. Sometimes AutoCAD crashes if system resources (CPU, RAM, etc.) are low or overloaded.

6. Purge unnecessary objects from the drawing

Repair the drawing file using the "Audit" command

also follow instruction of @paullimapa

Thanks Jayhar. When i get access to AutoCAD again i'll try this. Looks like it'll be an uninstall and reinstall job now.
