Mouse Wheel Pan Issue

So my issue seems to be unlike the others...

This has happened to me a few times in the past but a quick software reboot usually fixes my issue, until today.

Here is my issue:

Mouse wheel click is normally pan, awesome, love it. BUT when I click in and hold to pan, the second i release it rotates the viewcube around the current selected point. ie select sw iso on the cube, click/hold to pan, release after pan and the screen rotates 90 deg.

any help would be awesome.

Are you holding the SHIFT or CTRL key at the same time?
Your secret year version of autoCAD is what please? And your OS?
and which mouse/driver is it?

I am not able to replicate your experience in AutoCAD 2022-23-24-25 here in Win10-Win11 for example.

Not holding shift or ctrl, just simply the mouse wheel pan (click/hold)

Does it happen with a different mouse?  [I'm thinking a faulty/dirty wheel-button, e.g. registering again when released, or something....]

Test with a no-CADWORX profile too, let's rule out everything first.

Happened before with a different mouse, a couple different times.

Happened before CADworx was in my repertoire.

I have seen some workaround regarding this.

If you type PAN at the command line and then complete the command, does the problem persist when you try to pan again?

If you type 3DORBIT and use that command doe the problem persist after ending that command?

If you start panning and then hold shift after you start panning and then let go of the mouse wheel does it start the pan?

Some have also suggested restoring settings to default.
