Performance Issues with i9 Processor Laptop and Autodesk – Any Advice?

Hello everyone,

I’ve been facing ongoing performance issues with my i9 processor laptop while working with Autodesk software, and it's becoming a concern for my workflow. Here are the main problems I’ve encountered:

  1. High CPU Usage: While running Autodesk software, especially during rendering or working on complex designs, the CPU is constantly under heavy load. Even with an i9 processor, which is built for handling such tasks, the laptop struggles to keep up. I experience slowdowns, and system responsiveness significantly drops during these intensive processes.
  2. Overheating Issues: The laptop tends to overheat after extended sessions of working in Autodesk, especially when dealing with large 3D models or rendering. The fans kick in loudly, but the system heats up so much that it seems to throttle down performance to manage the temperature. This not only slows down my work but also raises concerns about the longevity of the hardware.
  3. Software Freezes: Occasionally, Autodesk becomes unresponsive during heavy tasks, causing the entire system to freeze for several minutes or, in some cases, leading to crashes. This results in loss of progress and productivity.

I’ve tried some standard troubleshooting steps, such as updating my Autodesk software, ensuring the drivers are up to date, and tweaking the performance settings on both the software and laptop, but the issues persist. Has anyone else encountered similar problems with Autodesk on an i9 processor laptop? What steps did you take to resolve these issues? Any tips or optimizations would be greatly appreciated, especially in managing CPU usage and preventing overheating.

Thank you in advance for your advice!
