Scaling Lineweights When Printing (Layers, Not CTB)

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with scaling lineweights when printing in AutoCAD 2022.

Context:

  • My lineweights are defined by layers, not by a CTB file.
  • I draw in A3 size in the model space, and everything prints correctly with the right lineweights (0.35 mm for dimensions).
  • When I try to print the same drawing in A4 format by applying a scale in the print setup (e.g., 1:1.414 to scale from A3 to A4), the lineweights do not scale down. The option "Scale lineweights" is greyed out and unavailable.
  • I’ve tried using different CTB files, plotters, and printers, but the issue remains.

My question:
Is there a way to scale lineweights defined by layers when printing? If so, how can I activate this option or work around this issue?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
