X-ref Annotation Scale Inconsistency

I have encountered an error with annotation scales when an X-ref (File A) is loaded into the sheet file (File B). As you can see from the screen grab, additional 'x-ref scales' were imported, even though the corresponding scales match between files; ie. 1:50 = 50 drawing units in each file.

Can anyone identify the issue?

It's normal behavior, similar to layers getting a prefix even if they match layers in the referencing drawing.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

I presumed this was the cause of the issue with the annotative labels and dimensions (shown below). If this is not the case, any insight would be appreciated.

In your sheet file you have the ANNOALLVISIBLE on. This will always show annotative text and objects at every scale. Set it to 0 to only see annotative at the current scale. You can also click the button shown below to turn on and off.

That content in your top file resides in your XREF file if you turn on and thaw all the layers

You forgot to freeze viewport-specific layer(s), that's all.

@user181 That is an silly oversight on my behalf - thank you very much for pointing it out!

@pendean Thank you for taking the time to respond but the fix was simply turning off 'ANNOALLVISIBLE'.
