I ended up reinstalling the software for this issue and it worked for a few days and then again on Friday afternoon I lost a bunch of Autocad system files from the main install folder and this time I followed the "clean uninstall" instructions and removed all autodesk software and then reinstalled. Hopefully this will be successful for longer. If anyone else has experienced anything similar please let me know.
